Sat down to watch "wallander" on BBC 4, picked BBC4 from other channels,
once i start watching, the sky banner (with programme info) appears below, press backup, and it goes, 20 secs later it reappears and on and on...
i wouldnt mind so much, except that the programme is subtitled and the banner blocks the subtitles!!

spent 25 on the phone with sky, they wanted to send an engineer out next week to check the box, surely its not a box problem? Anyone any ideas?

    thanks

Would a proper reboot not do the job?

I remember having that problem before intermittently with my old Thomson HD box with certain "Other Channels" and I think BBC 3 & 4 were them.

IIRC a reboot sorted it each time, but a few days/weeks later it could happen again.

It's a known bug and was discussed here.

Ah yes, I knew there was a solution to it.
