    Might be a bit early for this thread but I would be very interested in boardsies' experiences in what is/was and isn't/wasn't covered under their travel insurance policy for:

    - Cancelled flights;
    - Hotel accommodation;
    - Missed connections due to cancelled first legs of flights
    - any other reimbursement

    Did anyone have their claims paid or refused ? If so what specific reasons ?

    My understanding is that cancellations due to an act of God aren't covered...

    ...although you could try claiming to be an atheist!

    (One for the Christianity forum maybe) ;)
