herpes- help

    hi my girlfriend found out she has genital herpes today, i gave it to her through oral sex as i have cold sores.

    she is gutted as it is incurable and it is nasty when it occurs

    i am feeling miserable over and extremely guilty, as i havent got a clue what to say to her

    does anyone know anything about it, especially dealing with it?

    how does it affect sex etc?

    Hi OP.

    You can research different types of STI's including Herpes on the internet. Wikipedia has a long page about Herpes so maybe you should give that a read.

    Also, maybe you could ask your GP about how it will effect both of you.

    I dont know much about it but it could spread to your genitals if you have sex with her.

    Also I don't think you can really guarantee it came from your cold sores. Though if you did it whilst you had active cold sores then both of you really should have known better.

    Bit harsh, I think his reply has a lot of sense.

    In advice, go to your doctor together so you can understand the situation better.

    This thread is over a year old so if he hasnt sorted it by now hes in bigger trouble ;)
