this is for site owners and teams. i was thinking the other day about the amount of skirmishing that goes on on an average weekend in ireland and how come there are not many videos and pictures put on the web. i think this might be a good way of advertising airsoft to the general public. So i was wondering would any site think of getting anybody in to do a half decent video of the action on a sunday or run around and take a few good pictures for the site or even a team. i am a big fan of you tube as you might guess and most videos i come across are very short. Although Stone cold seems to have it pegged as his videos do look pretty cool, i starred in one myself, thanks very much stone.
By the way this is not meant to be an advertisement for any video or photography service i was just trying to get some feedback from any people that might share my views.

Great idea and something ive a genuine interest in (im the guy that used to take photo's at Fingal)

This has been discussed before but by no'ones fault never took off. I'd love to do something like this as it combines both hobbies - airsoft and videography.
And as before i will offer my services, the old thred should be around somewhere, was thinking something like a mini tour of sites if everyone is up for it, for now there is something in planning stages but i'l say no more about it for now.

IMO guncams are a very good option as you dont have to be running into the middle of firefights to get good shots and its POV:)

the gun cams are good but it is strictly one way. having a person with a cam corder i a good spot or a guy with a camera and a zoom lens is equally good to get good shots. gun cams are often great for getting detailed shots of the ground as the user just slips back to shooter mode and runs around with the barrel facing down. i have a camera and a good long lens for zoom shots so i might see if ant site would want pics taken. it would be a good way of advertising i guess

I know you say that gun cams aren't that great, but if a site/player was to invest in ten of something like these, and record a whole match, a bit of edditing with split screen (team v team, 5 cams on each) and no ground shots , very few ground shots as little ground shots as possible, then it would make for some very good viewing

Yeah, let me rephrase that, helmet-cams are great. I'm gonna try and find an ACM MICH to fit my head(62.5cm:eek:) so I can stick my cam to the NV mount.

i'd agree that head cams are better but in my opinion you can't get better than a third person view of the whole action. i tried videoing a game in the warehouse with a tripod but failed badly. i might bring the video camera and my camera out in a few weeks and see what i can do. any suggestions what site would make for a good video. i havent been to oakridge yet whats it like
