As the title suggests - Is it time to sit up and take notice of Rosberg? It's not as if his up against a bad team mate or anything, he just keeps out driving shui!
Does the Brawn factor have anything to do with it ? The car is obviously fast but for the life of me I can't remember any significant driving stunts by Rosberg last season - he just seems like an unknown to me. Always there or there abouts but never a real contender, or is he?
Is this the weekend to cover himseldf in glory and finish on the poduim? He is in a good position but it looks like the field is too strong ahead of him, again.

I thought most people rated him pretty highly already. He's never had a car to challenge, and has consistently out-qualified and out-raced his teammates. I'd give Schumacher a few more races to catch up though.

Rosberg is rated pretty highly already i thought. He has a tendency to go backwards in the race after qualifying well though.
If he can sort that this season he could push on and compete for regular podiums assuming Merc makes progress with the car.

Rosberg had some very solid races last year-in Singaphore he crossed the white line exiting the pits in a race he could have won-and to me it is these mental mistakes that are what has led to the issues surrounding his reputation. He is clearly very fast, has been right from the start, but he has had a tendency to have moments of brain fade when he gets into contention. I know that he had to overdrive the car to get it up the field but top line drivers in poor cars don't make these types of mistakes when they suddenly get everything hooked up.

That said I've always rated him and think that he is very talented and if he can learn from Schumi how to mould a team around him and force development of the car in his direction he could live up to the promise that he has shown

He was never a bad driver. You're as good as the car you're driving. At the start of his F1 career he was, i think, mostly known as the son of.
The Mercedes of this year isn't as good as the Brawn of last year, but he still performs solidly with it. Looking at the points, he is 4 of from current leader massa. And he has 24 points more than his team mate. Who was said to blow him away at the start of the season. Being a 7 times world champion. On the other hand as the underdog, which you are mated with schumacher, your live is a bit easier.

Anyone who really follows F1 should rate Rosberg. He was pretty even with Webber at Williams

I rate him alright, and I do see his skill, but will he have the mental strength if the car gets better to get over the line in first? After today's display, I think so.

He was good after the race on the forum, when he gave EJ a bollocking for bringing up his dad.

    Missed that. What happened

EJ asked Rosberg how his dad was helping him etc... Harmless enough but Rosberg took it as another your only in f1 because of your name comment.

He just said i thought we got past the those questions and he expected better from Eddy!
