Ricardo Mayorga is well known among boxing fans. He has a record of 28-7-1 and has fought the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Felix Trinidad, and Cory Spinks. He lost all the fights listed. The only really good boxer he ever defeated is Vernon Forrest (and he did so twice), but the reason he has received these big fights is because the guy has a mouth on him like no other. He's one the biggest **** talkers throughout the history of sports, not just boxing.

Din Thomas is well known among MMA fans. He was a contestant on the 4th Season of The Ultimate Fighter, and has fought the likes of BJ Penn, Matt Serra, Clay Guida, and Kenny Florian throughout his stay in the UFC. His record is 25-8. He's popular for his stand and bang style, thus bringing excitement to all of his fights.

Well, Din Thomas and Ricardo Mayorga will fight each other in a MMA contest on May 15th for a company called Shine. Below is the press conference for this fight, and it is absolutely hilarious. Please check it out:

    Wha???

Some very funny trash talking here.

Hopefully the fight lives up to the press conference! Mayorga, although comes across as a bit of a scummer, is one funny man and sure knows how to hype a fight.

Shine are definitely on the up, Ninja Rua was meant to fight Falinko Vitale on this card to, but Vitale had to pull out with an injury. Pity. I think it's strange they're putting this on as a PPV though, can't imagine many people buying the card.

Court ruling puts tonight's PPV main event in jeopardy
A court ruling earlier today puts in jeopardy tonight's Shine Promotions PPV main event of Ricardo Mayorga vs. Din Thomas in jeopardy.

Broward County, Florida judge Judge Marc Gold ruled in favor of Don King Promotions on an attempt at an injunction to stop Mayorga, who has a boxing contract with the promotion, in an attempt to stop the fight.

Phil Lanides of Shine Promotions still claims the PPV and the main event, scheduled for the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, will go on as scheduled.

The crux of the argument was that King's company claimed they had an exclusive contract with Mayorga, a name boxer who once drew more than 900,000 buys on a pay-per-view event against Oscar De La Hoya. Shine Promotions' argument was that it was an exclusive boxing contract, while King's side countered that boxing is part of MMA, and the judge took that side of the argument.

It had appeared the King side was looking for a payoff, and now may have the leverage to get it. Shine had announced Mayorga fighting in September and the PPV had been promoted for months. It was only in recent weeks that King Promotions had sent a cease and desist letter claiming they had Mayorga under contract. When that was ignored, they attempted to get an injunction to stop the fight.

    Someone call Seth Petruzelli :p

Whole event cancelled now, announced twenty minutes after they started to let people in. Crazy stuff.
