rent allowance in Dublin 1 / Dublin 2

    Hi,

    I am currently living in dublin 3 and receiving rent allowance, which I get in cash along with my dole every week..

    But I more than likely have to move soon so I was just wondering is this also the case in D1/D2 or does it get paid directly to the landlord as I know it differs in some areas..

    Rent Supplement is paid directly by HSE to you. You may have heard of others whose rent is paid directly by the Local Authority to the landlord but, most likely, they are part of The Rental Accomodation Scheme (RAS) under which payments from the Local Authority are paid directly to the landlord.

    What is the Cap PM for rent in Dublin? i.e for single person in shared accommodation - what amount can you rent up to (I dont mean the 98 pw allowance)
