From Monday, buy 20euro's worth of fuel and receive a 20euro voucher.

    T&C's on www.directholidays.ie from Monday.

Do you know if it'll only be one voucher per booking?

The in-laws are looking for a holiday at the minute, and obviously if we could stock up on €20 vouchers, it'll increase their quality of destination.

3 I think but not sure, have to wait till Monday for full details.

There'd have to be a max no per person or per booking otherwise we'd all buy our petrol there and get a free holiday thrown in

Thanks for the sarcasm, 'tis much appreciated!

It's completely wasted though, as nobody was suggesting getting a free holiday. The question of it was going to be limited to one voucher per person or booking was asked, which was/is a completely valid question.

Or dont bother with the discount at all.

The poster makes a good point.
What point is there in getting €60 off a holiday package that is grossly overpriced already.

In that context its not a bargain at all.

Thats not to say it would be the same for all customers or all holidays available but I figured this would be the case with this offering.

Does anyone know if the vouchers can be used against last minute deals?

I was looking through their T&C's and it says that you can use them with holidays booked within 8 weeks but keeps referring to the 'Brochure price'. Im not sure if the 'Brochure price' includes last minute deals... €350 less €60 for a week in Lanzarote isn't bad but as a previous poster mentioned, their prices are quite steep if you are going off their brochure price for this.

A petrol stations profit on a litre of petrol is about 5c before any costs are factored in.

On €20 worth of petrol the gross profit is about 75c.

Deduct credit cards charges, rent, esb, rates & staff and there's virtually nothing left (more profit in a €3 sandwich than €40 fuel)

So you can be absolutely guaranteed that any offer such as this is in reality worth the paper it is wriiten on

    I was being sarcastic ?
