Was at a presentation for the new ATS system that the ECDL are suggesting to bring in as mandatory in the future. Am just wondering has anyone implemented this system in any of their own test centres? Anyone seen any potential problems or oddities within the test system that may cause problems for participants?

We were looking at it too, One big problem that I see with it is that you must use outlook and the MS suite, I like to use web-based emails in my class so the students can keep using it outside the class. And ECDL is not meant to be tied down to any office suite, you should be able to train/test with OpenOffice as easily as MS Office.
The other thing is how does the system deal with 1/2 marks (e.g. when I'm correcting and somebody changes the font colour of the wrong part of the document I'll give them 1/2 a mark because they can perform what was asked, but they just misread the question.

From my point of view, I'm out a correctors fee!
