    they are a bit underpowered and really only for casual browsing or for bringing on holidays
    if you don't want to spend too much then maybe go a bit bigger with something like this

    after that you are going to full size laptops

    in my opinion better off going for a cheap 15" inch laptop intead of a netbook... unless portability is a big factor

    Go for the dell ten inch netbook screen is way too small, especially if you are using it as your main pc for net acess.

    thanks lads, portability is not an issue, it'll be used pretty much in the house only, if i can get a full size laptop with better spec for around the same price (€300-€400) that would be good. Would anyone have any other recommendations?

    YOU can get a laptop, centrino cpu,for around 350 in pcworld ,or currys/dixons. with 15inch screen ,dvdrw drive,1 or 2 gig ram.Thats fine for web browsing,skype.
    Make sure screen is not glossy, ie too many reflections.
