    Hi

Are there benefits in becoming a trustee on a property. Would the owner need permission from the trustee before it can be sold etc?

    Thanks All

    The trustees are the owners.

The situation I have come across the owner (title deeds of property are in the owners name )and the trustee are two different people .So I was just wondering whats the benefit to the trustee.

I think you may be getting mixed up. By definition trustees are the legal owners of a trust property and it is their duty to hold same for the benefit of the beneficiaries of the trust. Accordingly, unless the title to the property is registered to the trustees, then really the people you talk of are not legally speaking trustees at all.
