96 lancer GSR

    I have a 96 gsr and the srs airbag light is on. ive tried to get diagnostics on it and my mechanic said it hasnt got a plug for it. im not sure this is true he cant find it or it doesnt have 1 im not sure. anyone know where it would be or how to disconnect the airbag sensor cause ive just failed the nct over it. ive a re-test on monday and any help would be really appreciated thanks

    get on to the owners sites you should be able to test the CEL code your self, flame suit on for this one but as a last resort (and only for the NCT!) you could remove the bulb from your dash, then test to see what CEL code its throwing after your NCT

    thanks for the help. i took her to mitsi garage and got it diagnosed its a spring gone on the sensor. they quoted me 300 sheets to fix it. havin got that sort of cash at the mo so took out the bulb. just for nct of course the test is on sat will i do any damage by leavin it out till after the test.
