    Hey guys, Well I am a feeling like a loser now. I am 17 and I have never even kissed a girl and it has really started to get me down lately. Everyone a lot younger than me seems to have girlfriends and stuff like that. The problem is that I am very shy.. and even when I do get a chance to go out with someone because of my lack of experience I always end up just leaving it..

    Am I the only ''late developer'' out there?.

    I would really appeciate advice or help..

    Not a chance. And you're not even a late developer. I know it's a boring thing to say from someone a lot older than you, but worth bearing in mind: you're ONLY 17. You're being much to harsh on yourself. You have YEARS. Are you still in school? You'll find the world of college/training course/work to be a lot different to that of school.

    The thing that got me thinking about this was that i have a mate that seems to have women intrested in him anywhere we go. If we walk down the street he seems to always get women calling out for him and has women coming up hugging him as if they were married 50 years. Really does get to ya when your stood there like a third wheel.

    Hi OP,

    You are definitely not the only late developer. I had my first kiss at 16 and that was considered quite old by a lot of my peers. It was because I was shy too that I waited and waited and waited. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 19 and I didn't have sex until I turned 20. My boyfriend was 22 (It was both our first times.)

    Relationships aren't the be all and end all. And as clichéd as it sounds, it will happen when you're ready. :) I was the only person in my group of friends who had no experience with guys and I was so depressed about it at the time. But I refused to do it just to do it and I've never regretted that.

    Focus on yourself. Study hard and do well, embrace yourself and your hobbies. This will make you more confident in yourself and then girls will be falling over themselves to get to you!
