    What is the best stuff to treat a new deck? The wood hasnt had anything applied to it yet.

    DO NOT PUT PAINT onyour decking it will peal off every year and the only way to get it off is power hose. A tin of preservative is the best job, dont get it in atlantic woodies etc get it in a hardware or local builder provider where they sell the decking. It should cost half the money it does in the other two shops, and itl be better stuff to

    Clear Decking Oil is the way to go - just needs a clean and re-oil once a year and will keep the deck looking fresh for years.
