Battery connnector types

Sorry in advance for asking such a retarded question, but is a mini type connector, and the tamiya (rc car) style connnector the same thing. I'm ordering a lipo battery here, and all the AEGs I have take the same type battery (JG G3 SG1, CA M15a4 and G&G SR25). I can't make out from the pic if it's the same connector. If it's not they sell a host of adapters too, but no point in spending money on extra stuff I don't need. And the battery compartment I'll be using is already going to be cramped enough, without extra adapters thrown into the mix.

Yeah, the regular type connector is called 'mini tamiya' in some places, so I'd say it's the same.

There are two types of tamiya connectors, a large tamiya connector (found mostly on large batteries) and a mini tamiya connector (found mostly on mini batteries). They are both identical except obviously for the size. When people say a mini/large connector they're referring to a mini/large tamiya connector as that's usually what connector comes attached to airsoft batteries.

Ok so, I get ya. I reckon mine is the large type then, spose I could always change the connector on the gun to suit.

you can indeed - furthermore, if you're going down the LiPo route, it's worth looking at deans connectors. Most LiPo's come with them in place - I've switched all of my kit to it personally.
