This May Bank Holiday Sunday , Limerick will get down to the rocksteady beats of the Good Times Sound system. Headed up by Legendary Dj Norman Jay MBE, the Good Time Soundsystem is an institution at the Notting Hill Carnival where it's blend of classic soul, house music and funk see's over 10,000 visit each day . Celebrating it's 30th Birthday this year, Good Times Chief Norman Jay makes a welcome return to Limerick to headline the party.

One of the few deserving of the title clubland "legend", Norman Jay is a hugely popular and highly respected figure in dance music. As a DJ, his style encompasses many forms of black music, including soul, funk, disco, hip-hop and garage. Perhaps his enduring popularity (the UK's Muzik magazine called him a "man of the people") lies in this rare democratic approach to his playlist. Another factor is his foresight and innovation: Jay was listening to early Chicago house records and staging warehouse parties three years before the UK's acid house explosion of 1988. He is also the "DJ's DJ", with many contemporary superstar DJ's citing him as an early influence and today he is in demand all over the world from John Galliano's Fashion collections in Paris to South America Beachside rave ups !

The Good vibes kick off from 8pm and stretch across Dolan's Main Room , Smoking Area and Terrace with Soul Food on the Bar b cue, Trad in the Front Bar and Paul Webb's Balance New Talent Sessions in Dolans Upstairs .
This May Bank Holiday Sunday, Norman Jay and special Guests bring the Good Times Sound to Limerick for the First time at Dolans Warehouse .
