Any news on any acts cancelling due to lack of flights?

As far as I'm aware, alternative arrangements have been made for everyone.

Indeed, Mr. Hudson has been tweeting about driving to (and getting on) the ferry this evening.

Arrangements have only been made for the UK acts, not the european acts, I'm fairly sure.

I keep getting excited when people talk about MrHudson, cause I think they're referencing Hudson Mohawk. Alas.

I hope none of the acts can make it and the ball is cancelled. It's actually become an embarrassment to this institution. Nowadays it's just an outdoor pissup. The fact that they still call it a ball is just cringeworthy.

And just when you think it can't possibly get any worse MCD announce it will be headlined by a rap act.

They could go to any bar in town and take one of the black guys who attend the toilets there and put him on stage instead of Dizzee and I doubt anyone would notice.

If they were to play this, then it might actually be good...;)

Dizzee could actually be upstaged by an mp3 file!:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 639 ✭✭✭devinejay

Just jump up on stage and plug in your mp3 player

    They'd be all;
    "What are you doing"

And you could just be like
"I want to listen to some music"

    And then they'd be like
    "But you can't do that"

    And you'd be like
    "I wasn't asking permission....."

I really hope that the Trinity Ball flops, none of the acts turn up, all alcohol in Dublin City magically disappears, and that everyone has a truly wretched time.
