Question for people who buy US stocks

Hi, I have the majority of my holdings in various US stocks and index funds. I'm a buy and hold investor, so I'm not worried about short term volatility. What are your opinions on holding dollar investments if the dollar tanks (which it may well do)? As an FYI, I also own gold (but it was bought with dollars :) Thanks, TR
