Acer Aspire 2920 LCD spill

This morning when I switched on my laptop it was all disfigured. Seems the internal screen cracked and the liquid spilt... There is no sign of any cracks on the LCD only when it is turned on that we can make out that it has cracked from inside. It is impossible to identify anything on screen just white with red lines and black patches.

It was fine yesterday and it didn't fall or anything... Any idea what happened and what I can do now?

I've no idea how it would break, but I've replaced a screen on one before. You can buy one from here and you can have a look at the service manual here.

It's very fiddly so make sure to take your time if you are going to do it yourself. Page 53 of the service manual shows you how to disassemble the machine.
