    Hi all,

I have a CYMA 040C on the way. I see it comes with an 8.4V 1100mAh battery.

    Couple of questions:

    1. Would it handle a 9.6V battery? Would one fit?
    2. What's the highest capacity battery that would people's experience?

The 9.6v should work, but be prepared for something to die eventually, as it will probably put too much extra strain on the gearbox, over time.

My personal recommendation in this situation, is to buy a good quality 8.4v battery, with a higher mAh rating! ;)

Well.. the gun is supposed to shoot at 390fps and I'm having it downgraded by replacement of the spring and hop-up. I'm hoping the resulting reduced stress on the components will be balanced by the increase of using a 9.6V battery.

    Does this make sense?

I'd be very wary of the Cymas. Myself and Colm's seem pretty tough but I'd always try and keep my FPS and ROF low in order to protect the internals. After all, it is only a Chinese replica.
