I have the soil analysis summary from Teagasc (done as part of the REPS plan)

Why don't they make this report user friendly eg 1.5 bags per acre of 18.6.12 etc......

Anyway as the planner is on holidays I need recommendation on fertilizer (guy in the co-op- wouldn't trust him !! )

Based on the soild sample results the Nutrient advice is :

    P K
    6 40 Grass
    6 40 Grass
    19 150 Silage ground
    6 10 Grass
    16 40 Grass

    What should I spread??

I presume these are kg per hectare?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Because then they couldn't be prattling on about units of N per hectare, which is a pet hate of mine.

multiply all those by 0.8 to convert to units per acre. So the 40kg per ha = 32 units per acre, or roughly a bag of 0;7;30 per acre. I think it would be better to split these applications, half now and the other half in mid summer. Did you get back to the consultant?
