The Simon Communities of Ireland is delighted to announce that the RIAI Simon Open Door initiative will be taking place this year on 24th and 25th April.

2010 will be the sixth year that the Simon Communities of Ireland has been in partnership with the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland. Over the course of this wonderful partnership almost €200,000 has been raised for the Simon Communities of Ireland through the RIAI Simon Open Door initiative.

Simon Open Door is a simple yet fantastic scheme. It benefits both the Simon Communities of Ireland and members of the public. Anyone can sign up and in return for a €50 donation to the Simon Communities, receive an hour long consultation with a certified RIAI Architect who can give advice on a range of issues relating to your home.

Since 2005, the Simon Open Door initiative has been a permanent fixture in the calendar of RIAI Architects who, on this day offer their time and expertise to members of the public for free. Every single cent raised goes towards the work of the Simon Communities of Ireland.

HOUSE+ is delighted to announce their participation in the RIAI Simon Open Door initiative where we will provide would-be home renovators the opportunity to meet with an architect to find out how they can fall in love with their existing homes again; all in the name of charity.
