Transfer Music from laptop to Iphone 3gs

Trying to get music onto my Iphone form laptop but everytime I go to sync through Itunes it tells me it is going to delete all the apps on my phone. How do I avoid this..thnaks in advance

do the apps on the phone match the apps that are in your iTunes?
was the apps on the iPhone when you bought it? ie. second hand?

you can ssh into the phone or use iphone exporer to download the content of the music folder back to you pc. /var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/Music is the music folder

in itunes click on file and then transfer purchases form iphone and it should work

can you choose to not sync apps?

to apply that ya have to sync first

Just click on Manually Manage Music on the main sync page.
