Worked with this girl about 5 years ago but recently we have added each other on facebook and talked now and again. Well we got talking today for a while and eventually i told her i had a crush on her when we did work together. I told her i didn't tell her back then because i was afraid of rejection and knowing that i would have to continue working with her i decided not to tell her. She said she wishes i had of told her at the time and that she would have said yes.

The problem is now she has a bf. But the responses from her sounds like she really wished i had of said it at the time. Do i just put it down to experience or can something happen here. If she is saying this stuff, is she happy?

Well this is an akward one for you at the moment and I really feel for you. :(

You obviously really care for her since it's still on your mind 5 years later but she is in a relationship at the moment. Whether or not she is happy in it isn't something that you should or could make her see....she has to see that for herself. You shouldn't say anything to make up her mind.

You said she wished you told her at the time; that might just be it - at the time. People change, needs change, she may not be in the same situation now. Depending on how long she's been with her boyfriend, she might have just be in a low point in the relationship and reminising about the past and of how the start of new relationships can be. If she's only been dating him for a couple of weeks then it might be different.

You've already put yourself out there by saying how you feel and I'd leave it at that for now. As I said, I'd suggest to respect her relationship. If she becomes single later on, ask her out, but not while she's with someone.

Well, I had a crush on her back then but then just moved on. It's only since we added each other on facebook recently and when we got talking I just told her I had a crush on her.

The fact that she said back to me she really wishes I had of said something because something would have happened a few times makes me think she wants something to develop now by the way she was talking.

Tbh I think you should forget it. You've spent far too long obsessing over the last girl that was taken that I think it would be madness for you to go down the same road again.

She has a boyfriend now and its possible she was trying to be nice in saying that she would have said yes in the past, in a bid to not hurt your feelings. You have no way of knowing really and there is no point in hanging on in the hopes that she might decide to drop her boyfriend for you.

You keep looking backwards OP and its time for you to start looking forwards.
