    Can anyone recomend any good free antivirus security? I had Norton but its expired & they want €75 to renew! Tried Avira but the firewall kept blocking my access to the web

    Try Microsoft Security Esentials. Very good and constantatly up to date. Free from microsoft.ie website

    ill second MSE.. I used to have Avira its very good but got fed up of the slow update servers

    I'll third Microsoft security essentials. I have been using it for ages and had no problems.

    edit: I forgot to mention http://www.virustotal.com you right-click files and you send them to this site and they scan them with like 100 diff virus scanners its really good and free :)
