"House" Crew Films Season Finale With Canon 5D DSLR

“House” has been known to be quite the strange TV series (in a good way though), and its creators have, at times, taken some interesting steps towards the show’s production. Therefore it’s not that shocking that they chose to film the season finale for their 6th season using a Canon 5D Mark II DSLR camera.

This was confirmed by the show’s director, Greg Yaitanes, in a message on Twitter – surely enough, a barrage of questions followed by the community, and Yaitanes answered that the camera (which costs around $2500) suited most of the scenes in the episode just perfectly.

There weren’t any stabilization features employed during the filming, nor any special tools (apart from a small tripod), and the crew only used a few custom lenses, with the rest being the stock Canon ones – so this sounds like it’ll be a visually interesting episode, to say the least.

The episode will be aired in about a month on May 17, so don’t miss it if you’re a fan of the show!
