Can you put the memory card into something (Camera, PSP if it fits) and connect by USB? Then take the pics off and just format the card?

I put it into the USB hub on my tv and nothing, also connected it to the playstation and still nothing!

Try it on a different computer or different USB port (on the back of the computer, not the front-top ports)

Stick the memory stick in the usb drive, if it recognizes it as a logical drive (D:, E:, F: etc) then use the program on this website

    http://www.artplus.hr/adapps/eng/dpr.htm

This recovers photos from any drive as long as the logical drive is visible.

Go into Device manager, USB contorllers and delete the USB Mass Storage Device listed there. Plug the flash drive back in.

Do you want me to uninstall usb mass storage device? Can't find a option to delete!

Or if you want something FREE that works even when the file system / partition are history try this www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

if that don't work then you are looking at ddrescue to pull an image of the memory stick and then run photorec on that image

I've tried everything you guys have suggested. But none worked. i did however download windows data recovery and it found all the pix. But sadly they want me to upgrade to recover them. Has anyone got a free easy to use recovery prog?

You help is very much appreciated!

    Seems like it's sorted now?

I think that a good rule of thumb - re: memory sticks - is to never rely on them with important data. Think of them as temporary storage only, for when you're travelling around. The discs in them are much more unreliable than those in portable hard-discs and internal hard-discs themselves.

After a certain amount of write events on a memory stick, it's useless and your data will be lost.

Disks? In thumb drives? Since when?

lol... ...you know what I was implying dude. I know there aren't discs in memory sticks. Replace 'disc' with 'storage medium' in my previous message and it will make more sense. Then, after that, lose some of your arrogance and you'll be a better person all-round.

Nope, solid memory is much better than classic HDD. The reason for sticks not being reliable is the hot swapping most of the time; leave a thumb drive in your USB port forever, and you wouldn't have any problem. After that, try to plug/unplug your HDD from PC 100 times, and see how is working.
Regarding my arrogance... no point in flaming...

No still not sorted! Look like the pix are gone!
