Costa del Sol ,Canaries opinions ???

    Hi i was wondering could any body give me any idea what these places are like. Ive been to algarve,crete,turkey and bulgaria but never spain.Ive heard bad things are they all kips.Santa ponsa also gets a bad rep.

    Ive seen costa del crime show on BRAVO and it looks rough.Lots of english teens and chavs.Before anyone says anything im not anti english ok, is just

    i suppose it depends on when you go, if you go to the canaries or costa del sol during the summer months expect masses of drunken british and indeed irish :o

    i have been to the costa del sol in december and marbella was very quiet then (not a yob in sight), malaga was much more lively but then it was a few days before christmas

    i have been to the canaries (gran canaria, tenerife and lanz) all around october-november time, at this time of year its all older folk but there is still a sprinkling of younger people around and all the bars and clubs (if you can call some of these places that) are open, personally i love the canaries, the 3 islands i visited are so different and so scenic (much more so than the algarve), there is much more to do in the canaries outside boozing and lying on the beach than in the algarve

    I went to Santa Ponsa for ten days last august and really enjoyed it. Im 22 and it was just me and the GF, always felt safe and there is lots to do. Drove through magaluf at ten in the morning and there was loads of fellas fallin around the place fightin with each other, that seemed a bit rough but santa ponsa is pretty good.

    Best place for a couples holiday is probably Lanzarote its a nice spot in Puerto Del Carmen wit nice restaurants and lively bars. I have also been to Fuertenventura and Tenerife, Tenerife is a dive scumbags all over the place and Fuerteventura is just plain boring in my opinion.

    As for Costa Del Sol ill tell you in about 2 months im headin to Torremolinos for ten days, it looks good and got some got some good reviews on tripadvisor.com
