Discount for braces if your on the Dole?

    I heard that you can get tax back (from the cost of dental braces) if you earn in the higher tax bracket, - something like 40% of the cost is refunded.
    Is there any discount or system in place for people on the dole? - Just a shot in the dark.

    Also, how much do braces cost? Was there any drop in price due to the downturn?

    Tax back on Braces is 20% or the standard rate. No discount if your on the dole. Braces cost between 2k-5k depending on you individual case. Most orthodontists do payment plans.
