    Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a gift for a friend who is rather creative and she does a lot of sewing, clothes making, alterations that sort of thing.
i would like to purchase a rather big sewing kit packed with all the bells and whistles (well treads & Buttons)

Anyone know where I can get one???

It's only a small one now but got a really cute one in Urban Outfitters last week...

Probably not what you're looking for but still love it!

    Thanks for that,

It's rather small for what i'm thinking BUT it will do nicely as a travel kit.

    Thanks again

Argos used to have a really big one in a rather ugly purple box, but they seem to have replaced it with this slightly smaller one. http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/2670995/Trail/searchtext%3ESEWING.htm

Its a nice idea, but can I make a couple of suggestions.

Firstly the pre-filled sewing boxes are usually filled with relatively poor quality materials. If your girlfriend is a regular dressmaker etc she will not really have a lot of use for the kind of threads etc that are put into these boxes.

Also a box already filled is often not the most convenient item as you can't stash all your existing stuff in it and it ends up just taking up space.

So I would suggest getting a box where the value is in the quality of the box, have a look at these boxes http://tinyurl.com/y66llny they are all empty, but good quality, useful boxes.

I know you said you'd enough info, but this site might be worth a look:

They seem to have some decent supplies & some quirkier accesories too that might make for a "different" present?
