Accessing podcasts without an ipod

I've found a load of podcasts that interest me through Itunes - I have an old Shuffle but it doesn't really work anymore, and I intend to buy a new mp3 player, but would prefer a non-Apple device. Are the podcasts stored anywhere on my computer that I could upload them to other mp3 players?

    thanks

The exact location depends on the version of Windows and iTunes that you are using, but it would generally be something like:

    XP: C:/Documents and Settings/[username]/My Documents/My Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts

    Vista: C:/Users/[username]/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts/

iTunes Music may also be called iTunes Media.
