    Anyone have one of these?

I got one today, and it comes with the pressure adjustor knob separate. It barely screws into the side of the unit (maybe 1-2 turns) before it comes to a halt and doesn't do anything. It's almost like it's too big for the thread inside the base.

Putting a canister in gives about a half of a fill of co2 nade, then the guage goes to 0 and that's the end of that. I had to wrap the unit in a towel and unscrew the canister slowly to let the co2 out and remove it.

    Any stupid stuff I'm missing?

    Hi Gerrowdat, hows it going.
I got the same piece of kit yesterday myself. It seems to work fine for me but as you said about the side knob that you're only able to get about 1-2 turns. I checked mine and i seem to get 7 and a bit turns. I presume you checked the treads for blurs/ damage , more so on the brass part as it is way softer that the side knob.

If you know someone in metal engineer, ask of a loan of a vernier or micrometer. I checked the outside diameter of the knob thread and it measures 5.80mm.

Also check the top cap where the fill stem is and screw that off and check if the air seal is ok . Might be cause of the co2 load problem.

I'll have a lookaround for a tap and die set to suit the xc 03 and if it's a thing that the treads are damaged i'll post them up to ya..."on loan;)"

Sry i could'nt give a definate answer to your problem:confused: but hopefully when you find whats wrong with it that its an easy fix.....

That's a bit annoying. Its hard to tell then if it's actually defective or if I'm just being a tard. Do you have yours working ok?

Well from start to finish this is all i do with it.
    1. Screw in the side knob 1 to 2 turns, this sets the chamber to minimum.

2.Pop in a co2 capsule, and when secure using cybergun capsules it reads 0psi on gauge and when the side knob is screw in to the last it should read 900 psi on a cybergun co2 capsule.

    3. Some mags and nades have certain pressure limits so adjust acordinly by screwing in the side knob to increase pressure, if you go over the psi your aiming for then wind back the knob "anti clock" and release the gas before you can adjust the psi again.....You can increase it with the knob but not decrease it.

    4. I've only using this on nades and not on m4 gas mags:rolleyes: but i got at least 15 refills on it on the 500 psi setting and their was still alot left when i opened the capsule chamber.

Even from putting in the capsule and before i emptied it there was no air leak coming out of it..

    Hope this helps....

that's a high psi are you using a npas value in your m4 and how do the mags hold up, green gas is normal around the 110 - 140 psi from experience depending on brand,

Ok, the side knob only goes in 1 or 2 turns and that's it. The brass fitting it goes into turns a wee bit, about one turn. The pressure stays at 0 :-/

Dunno, unless someone can point out where I'm going drastically wrong I may have to call this thing busted.

the brass futting on the left hand side as you look at the dial needs to be lined up correclty, from reading your problems i think the internal mech is getting stuck and not resetting correctly ( you mentioned the needle goes to ) and does not go back up but there is still co2 in the canister ) i had this problem myself and needed to make shore the brass section was correctly lines up as there is a small hole in it that needs to be in the right place and the 3 parts that are found under it need to be lubricated correctly

bit hard to explain in text ( especially for myself) will take some pics tomorrow

    You're a legend. That'd be much appreciated.

I haven't tried taking it apart or fiddling too much, want to make sure I can still return it if it actually turns out to be faulty. Madbull's manual is ****e, so having something in addition would be awesome.

well to fix mine i had to take it apart, know if you brought it in ireland might be best to take it to them to have a look

mine was from hk so sending it back not an option, there a bit hit and miss, both me and paul brought one to use with madbull co2 products and tornadoes, pauls always worked fine right out of the box mine has always had issues

Arg, hate that, no bother then. If I have no joy over the weekend I'll just return it.

    Cheers!
