    Hey all,

In an effort to promote the Creative Writing forum, I've decided to set up a Twitter page:

    www.twitter.com/irishwriters

Hopefully people will join up, and it will create awareness for the forum and also the Short Story competitions. Anything forum-related that you think you'd like posted - PM me and I can stick it up. And post the link to it in your signatures!

(Hope this thread is okay to post Pickarooney)

Can someone please tell me how Twitter works? I've been told to set up a Twitter page for myself, and I have literally no idea how or why.

@ EileenG: Click this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter for info on Twitter :-)

So who's running this page? Is it you Toaster? Or Pickarooney? Or some grand boards overseer

Also who are the people, things it's following? PsDeluxe? emreapy? the afternoon show?

    Que?

Hey, well I set it up, so I guess I'm running it. If a moderator wants to get in on it though, of course they are welcome to get my password and use the Twitter site too.

As for the contacts? Most are people that joined on their own. Em Reapy is the creator of wordlegs (an online web writing page mentioned in another forum post). The Afternoon Show was just something I joined up with because I know they do book reviews and I thought we might get a few people to join from there.

Though, if anyone has an issue with the setting up of a Twitter site, by all means say so and I can have it discontinued. I don't want to be an irritant on this forum for everybody else!

Not at all, man. I was just curious about it. Great idea actually.
