Hi i need some advice if i could.

I currently claim OPF payments and receive rent allowance for the property where i live with my 5 children.

I would like my ex partner to move in he lost his job in construction and is currently on JSA.

I understand i will have to give up my lone parents but what about my rent allowance as he has not been renting before, and it concerns me on some previous posts that it states you have to be renting 6 months before applying.

I have however been renting for 3 years and was able to claim the rent allowance myself.

However will this change now he would be the one claiming for me and the children.
