    Hi ,

Looking for a new(2nd hand) car for my wife and wanted to get a few opinions. The specs are as follows :
    3yrs or less old
Small Car (e.g. Micra , Yaris,Polo ,Golf etc...)
    Low Mileage 40k or less
    Wont give much trouble
    Trading in an 03 Micra
Looking to spend between 6 and 7k , research so far has said 3-3.5 for the Micra so prices between 9-10.5 approx.

Hoping to get something reliable , although it will only be used for about 6,000 km per year and also something that will hold its value well and be easy to trade in again in 2-3 years.

    Any opinions gratefully recieved..

I'm a big fan of the Honda Jazz, so maybe throw that in your list

If you have 10k to spend you can buy brand new small car.

I think a new Fiat Panda would be hard to beat and you'll get 2k in change from your 10k. Anecdotally, they seem reliable and you'll have a full dealer warranty for peace of mind. Only €104 to tax and very easy on petrol.

Thanks for all the suggestions .The Swift and Jazz hadnt really been on the radar , but look a good prospect. As for the Panda , not really sure if the resale would be great on that one .
What about the Polo , have read mixed reviews on this , however have found a 2009 for 10450 which seems a bit too cheap. Anyone think of a reason for this ?
