ipod connection for pioneer stero

    I can't seem to get my ipod videos working on the pioneer 4100 double din player.i think i have a Cd-i200 cable.is this the right 1? as i got it from the supplier.Or is it to do with the setting on the player?

    has any1 got any ideas?

    Go to your main menu where you can select your source.
    You need to get your 'Initial Menu' up. You might have to press off from the source then select Menu.
    You need to set AUX1 Video to Ipod.

    I had the same problem with my p3100dvd last week.

    If you still cant get it I'll check later on mine

    think i tried that before but i'll try it later when in the car.could the connection be put in wrong?if i go into video playlist i can hear it playing just nothin comes up on the screen tho.

    i just went out to the car

    pressed source while i had video playing.i could hear it but still nothing came up except black screen.
    i went to main screen
    pressed aux1
    and its set on it.
    i even went to the video setting and it gives 3 choices i tried all of them and still nothin but the sound.

    any ideas?

    If it's like the Kenwood double din I had, there are 2 different types of cable for connecting it to your ipod. One gives you audio and the other one gives you audio and video. So check to see if there is more than one type of cable that you can get! Just google the make and model number and you should get plenty of information about it

    i googled it before i bought the stero so that i knew what i needed for it.i think more than likely the cable is pluged in the wrong place as everythin else work fine.

    like when i go to aux 1 it doesn't give me option to select ipod. is this right?or should it have ipod on the screen to select?

    I've never used your stereo, but when you select aux 1 it should automatically play the video, you shouldn't have to chose ipod or anything

    I've tried every way possible and all the ideas i could get from the web.so i went back to the shop and the technician had a look.he was confused to the way it was installed but yet he was the 1 to install the stero.they rang pioneer and the rep said its the wrong cable its supposed to be a cb u 200 or somethin.but this cable was not recommended and it gave the ui200 cable as the 1 specified.
    the lads are ordering me in a new cable and should have it done on friday.
    but they were really helpful and sorry about the mess.
