    Hello all,
I'm trying to get a hold of a scythe of fingerbar mower as below for hire as I have a one acre site which about 1/3 of it is a meadow and was not cut back late enough last year and I'm afraid it will turn in a jungle... it's pretty rough terrain (bumps and a few stones) and was hoping this would do the trick.. does anyone know where one could get there hands on one for a reasonable price,.. €50 a day or something like that..

    Cheers MC

If you're out in the country and have enough space to get a tractor into the back garden you should ask the local farmers. I'm sure one of them would be happy to cut it for you for €50.

Thanks for that - but need to manoeuvre in around an orchard and other small trees that are planted in the meadow - the tractor is too big for that unfortunately..cheers

Why not hire a heavy duty strimmers? Would not be much more than 50 quid a day and would be just as fast as the fingerbar mower.
