    Hi Guys,

I had an offer of an alternative work 2 days before my redundancy day I felt a little under pressure to make a quick decision as my position given such short notice, this offer was made to me verbally and I accepted by email, the salary of the new position was 3K lower than my old position.after 2 days training I feel I made a mistake and don't feel like I want to work in the department.the mangement never gave me a contract to sign and I thought while it was early days while it was early days to tell him so he can get someone new for the position as I would only leave after a few months after the old girl has gone anyway.the manager was not in the office midlast week when I wanted to speak with him so i never went in the next day and tried to call him but phone was off and mailed him he was abroad working i mailed him that i would'nt be happy long term and would like my redundancy and to call me he contacted me i never went in the next either.3 working days later asking why I was'nt in the last 2 days and to come into him to speak about my redundancy terms,I did'nt think there was any point coming in to be trained after i sent the mail to him I thought he would have called me.Can I still get my redundancy?

    sorry for the long mail

    appreciate your help

    DG

Entitled? No, you took another position and you're no longer redundant. You would basically leave it by your own choice. May get it? Yes depending on the companies good will.

I called the employment rights today and they said that anybody that accepts alternative position with different wage and job than redundant position have 4 weeks to change their mind.after 4 weeks they won'nt have any rights.so hopefully they will go by the book.thye seem a nice company since iworked with them.but we'll see what happens!!!
