I'm just wondering what you'd recommend in the way of gearbox upgrades for a JG? Or if you'd even bother. I've heard good things about their reliability, but am interested in working on my M4 so said I'd find out.

    Upgrades already done:
    - Tight bore barrel
    - Guarder Clear Bucking

    Upgrades on the way
    - Full Metal Body
    - One Piece hop up mech
    - G&P M120 Motor

Bearings and a good shim job and may be a Tappet Plate Delayer to avoid any feeding problems at increased rates of fire
Now even more so as you will be running the gear box faster with the M120 motor
Can I assume that you are using a 9.6v battery also

I plan to be, but am still running an 8.4v battery. The 9.6 is more for the trigger response than ROF as I've always preferred controlled fast trigger-finger bursts rather than the spray that auto provides

If you want faster trigger responce then fit a MOSFET

    So to recap:
    - Mosfet (where can I get 'em? I seem to remember Eirsoft having them, but not sure)
    - Tappet plate Delayer
    - Bearings to replace the bushings (What diameter would be best?)

Is it worth getting the wiring and connectors replaced, or would that just be over kill. This AEG is my learning curve, and one I intend to work on slowly and surely.

PS: Thanks DeBurca for all the help, and apologies for drilling you with questions

You can get a MOSFET from RSOV
    Most JG use 7mm bearings
Replacing the wiring and connectors will improve things but I believe that the improvement will be marginal
The above is only an educated guess as I have never replaced them on an AEG myself, but maybe some other may be able to give you a better answer
