Has anyone noticed that the pass rates for driving tests in Dublin test centres has plummeted?

The pass rate in Sligo is 67.1%.

The pass rate in Rathgar is 30.6%.

I seem to remember last year that the pass rate for Rathgar was closer to the 45% mark, so what the heck could have possibly happened that would drive pass rates down so much? Or is it simply a case that Donegal drivers are twice as good as Rathgar ones?

Isn't Donegal an accident black spot?

That link has Sligo down as having a 67.1% pass rate.

Oops, had Donegal in my head for some reason. The point still stands though.

I'd be fairly confident that pass rate for Sligo is hugely inaccurate.

It definitely wouldn't have close to an average of 7/10 applicants passing.

The change in Rathgars one would be more people failing, obviously :P

I'd say it's more likely that the rathgar route is twice as hard. Proximity to dublin looks like a significant factor in the pass rates. More hazards = more chances to get marked down.

Not sure what you can do about it tbh. Even with the best possible route selection, dublin traffic will inevitably make tests more difficult during busy times.
