Lucky you Curly!! Head out the ballyheigue road til you get to a roundabout about a mile out. Turn left signposted for Fenit. Go out that road about 2-3 miles and there is a fork in the road. Turn right there. It's signposted from there (Small blue signposts I think!). You cant go wrong after that. It's about 15 - 20 mins from Tralee at the most.

I'm mad jealous cos I love the course. I played Ballybunion Old in blazing sunshine yesterday and I cant split the two courses. Best of luck on the Index 1 12th!!

what did you think of the course? i was in Tralee a couple of weeks ago and took a drive out that way. Walked down to the beech near the course, the path runs through one of the fairways. Thought it looked like a stunning course. Hopefully will get to play it someday

I thought it was a fantastic track. We are playing senior cup there in a couple of weeks , so luckily for me we are being dispatched again to get another round in !!
Give me a links course anywhere and Im sorted. Links golf is unbeatable in my opinion.
The back nine requires more thinking and is visually more stunning. Tighter off the tees with some well placed bunkers. Green feees are very expensive though. That being said the day we played, a pet of a day , not a puff, the course was pratically empty. We played as many balls in as we liked . No one around. I d say in previous years the place was full of Americans.
My vote would go to Ballybunion over Tralee , but still a wonderful course.

Intermediate scratch cup here on the 10th July. Anyone playing?
Thinking i will as it is a good chance to play the course and not have to pay €180 green fees for the pleasure

Ya, I'm going to play in it Aster. Haven't booked it yet though. If you want to play let me know and I can book it. My regular partner for these can't make it that day but I'll play anyway.

Edit: Just checked the timesheet Aster, very few spaces left. About 3 lines with only one space left so I took one of them. There is a line left @ around 3.30 i think with 2 spaces on it but that was too late for me.

Ya Aster, there's a practice area there alright. Chipping green, range etc.

Enjoy it because it's a cracker of a course. Especially the back nine. Forecast not great but hopefully we'll get a bit of a break with the weather. What time are you out?

Stunning course. Shame about the weather today, would love to play there on a sunny day. Had spells of sunshine today but the majority of round was played during constant rain. Played quite well and was happy that i avoided any danger or big scores. A great experience

I didn't make it after all Aster. Played a football match Friday night and hurt my neck so I couldn't play Sat. Pity about the weather. Great course though.

78 gross was the winning score, great shooting in those conditions!
