Snow Holiday

    Hi all,

The girlfriend's 21st birthday is in July and we decided to go on a holiday for it. We'd like to go somewhere where we could snowboard (we've never done it before), the only problem is, we haven't a notion of where to go.

Could anyone give us some advice? I tried googling it but there are so many options that I don't know where to begin. Can anyone recommend a good snow holiday destination?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ro.

I haven't done a snow holiday in summer so I've no input there - but I suggest you post your question here:

You'll most likely get good ideas.

Oh - and prepare to get hooked :D

I was skiing in New Zealand last July, other options would be Australia and Argentina. There are places in Europe where you can ski glaciers during the summer and there are people over on WinterSports who have done that.

for what it's worth summer skiing in the Alps really is limited to a couple of hours in the morning, it's also a fair old trip going up all the lifts to the glaciers.

As it's your first time boarding you might not get as much out of it as you would during the winter.

the link to the resort in Norway does look pretty impressive tho!
