    Ah, I care!

I never really appreciated them in the 1990s... Now that I realise they were good, I'd like to see them play live... I hope they reform.

Supergrass were a great band. I think they were unfairly represented by "Feel Alright" being such a catchy crossover hit. It kind of made them uncool for a time. Some of the stuff that came after that was truly inspired. Songs like "Late In The Day", "Richard The Third" and "Sun Hits the Sky" are just brilliant.

Saw them supporting the Arctic Monkeys at Malahide Castle a few years ago. A decent enough band I must say

As both people who bought Diamond Hoo Ha Man mourn their demise, I heartily agree.

Was bound to happen at some stage....

Supergrass were probably my favourite band of the Nineties. Churned out four or five consistently brilliant albums and never went downhill (fair enough didn't really listen to their last few singles so can't comment there). Some of their musical compositions were absolutely mind-blowing, but unappreciated at a time when the Gallagher brothers were able to get away with throwing a few chords together and getting to number one.

They are still on the top of my "best gig I'v ever seen" list when I was lucky enough to see them in a tiny bar in California. They rocked the rafters that night.

Glad they called it a day and didn't try to drag it on for years.

....Gonna go listen to I Should Coco....Loud.

    An excellent band.

'Moving' is a superb song, as is 'St Petersburg'.

In it For the money is a hughly under rated record from the 90's

sad to see a good band split but am not surprised there last two records didn't sell to well even though they were good albums

    NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!

Gutted. I love this band. I saw them live a few times including the last tour at the Olympia. A quality band who were terribly underrated.

This seems like the right song to play now they're splitting up; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7SknY0oyYQ

Haha calls for reformation already. I'm sure they will. These days it seems bands who are taking a break of any considerable length announce their break up so they can have a big return next time!

They're a band who have always been overlooked.

ALl you gotta do is listen to their Best of to realise just how bloody good they were.

Great band, as above, In it for the Money is one of the best albums of the last 20 years.

Not too surprised they've split, wonder will Gaz take the Hot Rats to new and strange places now?

First 2 albums are classics, since then patchy but a great band nonetheless - can see why they're calling it a day though.

He's actually 34, and the youngest out of the lot of time, but he should have a few miles left in the tank alright.

rather em than Brink 182, knowharrmsayin? however Supergrass had less reason to split as theyre not mid-age men penning for american tweenies. indeed had been displaying a level of oldschool dapper maturity since gaz first aired them sideburns.. and if he ain't in the media no more i'll have to settle for alvin the chipmunk comparisons. i saw potential for another 2 decades at least.. only thinking of whats healthy for chart consumers as i don't give a toss for listening to music anymore! just talkin about it. however they only had two singles that were chart hits, and they hate the fact they even wrote em

-bassist Mick Quinn sleepwalked out a window over a year ago, just wondering it he fully recovered
