I'm looking for some help in measuring the pressure on my 2009 model Silvia. I've been using it for 15 mths now with differing results - I realise there is a wealth of info online but I'm hoping someone here may have done something similar on their own machine.

Screw the spout off your portafilter. Head to a decent plumbing supply shop with said portafilter and pick up a small* pressure gauge ranged to about 15/20BarG along with whatever fittings you need to screw it onto the portafilter using some PTFE tape. Your ready to go then, adjust it to 8.5BarG for the best results.

*the whole assembly has to fit into your machine so take a measurement and make sure the fittings used don't push you over the limit before you buy them.

Thanks Mr Magnolia - I'll give that a go at the weekend.
