Visa for Bangladesh

I'm going to Bangladesh in August to do an internship with an NGO. Very excited. They've been a bit lazy/confusing in some of their replies to my questions including this one. Basically, there's no Bangladeshi embassy in Ireland, as far as I can tell. Do I have to go to London and apply in person or can I do it all online?…

I'm going to Bangladesh in August to do an internship with an NGO. Very excited. They've been a bit lazy/confusing in some of their replies to my questions including this one.

Basically, there's no Bangladeshi embassy in Ireland, as far as I can tell. Do I have to go to London and apply in person or can I do it all online? Does it matter if it's a UK embassy issuing for an Irish passport? Will I get away with a tourist visa? I'll be entering through India, hopefully the Kolkata-Dhaka train.

Any info would be greatly appreciated I've heard a lot of conflicting reports.
