    TÁNAISTE Mary Coughlan (pictured)
is getting a makeover, drafting in
    fashion industry stars Elizabeth &
    Claire. Ms Coughlan’s advisers
    believe the makeover, combining
‘chic’ and ‘modern’ looks, will help
reform her image and end her
    ‘jumping between sombre business
    suits and frilly disasters’.
    "
as reported in the Metro today, it's good to see that the government has it's priorities right. New suits for the tanaiste, a brain transplant with someone who actually knows what they are doing might be more beneficial.

Cowen and Co., Jesus wept. someone up there really dosn't like us very much do they

In fairness.. The Metro. They probably found it on the onion and thought it was real.

    Wouldn't surprise me mind!

Lest we forget other former politicians appearance costs
TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern is spending more money than the average industrial wage on make-up, and it's all at the taxpayers' expense, figures compiled by the Irish Independent reveal. TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern is spending more money than the average industrial wage on make-up, and it's all at the taxpayers' expense, figures compiled by the Irish Independent reveal.
Mr Ahern has spent a staggering €167,000 on looking good since becoming Taoiseach in 1997, including €27,447 in the last year. Figures from his department reveal Mr Ahern is spending €550 a week, almost double the minimum wage, on his appearance.
He has spent over €70,000 on make-up since re-election in 2002. The figures for cosmetics from 1998 to 2002 stand at just over €95,000. The two most senior female political figures, Tanaiste Mary Harney and President Mary McAleese, look after their own make-up costs.

This didn't turn out to be a particularly useful thread. Without being mean, if you guys could keep in mind that other people are likely to read what you post, it'd be cool if you could raise the bar a bit:) You're better than this and capable of posting better...
