Claymore trouble

This might have been discussed before so apologies in advance...

I was playing CTF last night and was camping, defending my flag. I had placed a claymore inside the door behind me. In due course, I heard the customary click of the claymore and waited for the kill/hit score. But there wasn't even an explosion. Yer man killed me.

I checked out the kill cam and the dude just casually walked over the claymore and, although it triggered, it didn't go off! He foiled my claymores like this a couple of more times throughout the game. Really p*ssed me off.

Am I missing something? Is there a class that is invisible to claymores? Or is there a glitch of some sort? I am aware that a flashbang can temporarily disable a claymore but this was not the case here. Also, I was using danger close in my class if that means anything.

He could have been using scramber pro which delays the explosion. It may not have gone off because you were killed (and maybe respawned) within the delay time. Not too many people run with scrambler pro so it can be a weird when it happens.

Not wierd at all, I play a very simple game where I defend a certain area such as the plane in terminal or the back office in scrapyard and use scavenger to use 2 claymores usually defending 2 doors and guarding another myself and after a while people switch to a scrambler pro set-up, usually because people try both doors and then get blown up twice and try revenge murdering me! It's quite funny. But yeah scrambler pro is whats happening.

waiting in the one area for a player to come at you at a disadvantage and refusing to move.......*cough*camper*cough*. seriously though how do you get any kills at all doing that if some spastic camped me id noobtube him straight off no waiting about . and if he comes back he'd have a nice little claymore waiting for him

That's why I don't get the whinging about campers, they're usually incredibly easy to dislodge - noobtube/rpg, flash for hitmarkers/flash again/grenade them while blind and can't move or a multi-pronged attack by you and a team-mate.

Oh here we go! I openly say I do this but I dont call it camping! I call it gaining an area or piece of the map and defending it! Whats wrong with that?? If its so easy to get me out, as many do (many more dont tho! Im a sticky little buggar) then you dont need to worry! If it affects you mentally then maybe you should give up games altogether go see a counselor and get a life!
