    Hey guys,

Im repeating CS113 (Chemistry) this year and have only returned this semester (as I assumed I could put the head down and pass the exams) and have found the syllabus has changed from last year. There is an online continuous assessment on masteringchemistry.com (just like BE101 last year). I was not aware this was in place and I'm very worried about the outcome.

Does anybody know how much % this is worth in the exam? And if I buy the book now do you think the assingments would be open from earlier in the year?

Any help is very much appreciated. I feel like a gobshite.

    Cheers.

They are worth 20% of your final mark. And no they are not opened, if you buy the book, because they were set with deadlines. However, if you email one of the lecturers nicely - he/she might be able to help you!

well they changed how the CA works, you dont need to pass it to pass the year, you can pass on the exam alone

Really? So the continuous assessment is only added onto whatever you get in the exams (providing you pass the exam) so?

kinda, what is was that you had to pass BOTH your CA and exam, now all it is that you need 40% from the CA and exam regardless if you fail one
