Im wondering what the lovely tall trees you see here and there around the country are....they're slender and elegant looking, no foliage or branches until near the top, they are often planted in rows and along avenues/driveways. I really like them but cant identify them, anyone know what Im talking about?! Thanks!:)

    are they broadleaf or conifers?
scots pine was the first tree to spring to mind.

Might be some variation of birch tree. They usually have long slender trunks and little foliage.
