Gross neighbours

    Hey,

I live on a quiet road in Dublin facing the Liffey. I have no trouble with my neighbours, until now....

Recently I've notice left over food on the grass across from my house but just thought it was due to a burst bin bag or something. However, in the last week I've seen my neighbours coming out their front door, crossing the road and throwing their left over food onto the grass.

The first day, a man had a saucepan with rice or something and dished it out on to the grass, the second day the woman from the house threw potatoe peeling on to the grass and this morning the man threw a cooked rasher and a piece of pudding on to the grass.

With the fine weather we have at the moment and living close to the river, this is going to attract rats.

Is there anyone I can report this to? I'm not going to confront them on this cos I'm a big chicken so I need someone to do my dirty work!!

    Thanks!

Call the litter warden or waste enforcement section of the Local Authority.
This would be an offence under the litter pollution act 1997 and the waste management act 1996-2010.
And yes, it's like as if they are actively trying to attract rats, perhaps they are.

You’ve already been asked once to read the charter, but apparently that was not sufficient, so you can now have yourself a vacation from this forum to allow you time to familiarise yourself with the code of conduct.

See if you can catch them doing it on video. Your mobile phone will do if you have nothing better
